Hizb ut-Tahrir Kenya held the first International Khilafah Conference in East Africa in Mombasa on Sunday 3rd August 2008 on the occasion of the 87th anniversary of the destruction of the Khilafah. Speeches were in Swahili, Arabic and English.
Conference delegates came from Mombasa, Nairobi and Malindi and from neighbouring countries including, Tanzania, Zanzibar and Uganda.
