ARRAYAH.INFO, Denmark, 28 Mac 2008 - Danish Forum for Critical Muslims announces a “critical dialogue” with danish Hizb ut-Tahrir members and sympathizers. The proclaimed goal is to keep muslims away from extremist environments, and the initiative is supported by the british Hizb-ut-Tahrir ex-member Maajid Nawaz.
The islamist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir is not prohibited in Denmark despite several attemtps by political parties to ban the organisation.
“Danish Forum for Critical Muslims” is lead by notorious Sherin Khankan – known for e.g. advocating a “democratic caliphate”. Two years ago Khankan characterized Hizb ut-Tahrir as peaceful. (2006).
Since Sherin Khankan does not oppose the islamist views of Hizb ut-Tahrir, she and her dubious organization are to be counted among the enemies and not the supporters of the open society. Probably the “critical muslims” just saw an oppurtunity to benefit from the growing antipathy towards HUT in the danish public opinion – and maybe a “dialogue” with the taxpayer funded public integration-business.
